Wolf Man

Wolf Man

The sculpture that appears to be a pile of junk creates both shadows. In The Wolf-Man Sculpture, there are two lights. The lights are shining at the same angle from both sides, and if one were to rotate the sculpture 180 degrees, the same shadows would still be cast. This effect is also apparent in the smaller, previous sculpture, From Boy To Man, although the shadows appear at different times due to only one light source.

From Boy to Man

At first, it looks like this is just a pile of glued pieces of cardboard. Then the light shifts and the silhouette of slumping boy is formed. As the light shifts to the exact opposite angle, the shadow changes once again, this time to become a man. In this sculpture, light only further obscures the creation. The sculpture has many sides, but what is its true form?
